Welcome to a very special combined print edition of XaaS Journal and DevPro Journal!
If you aren’t familiar with these publications, let me provide you with some background. XaaS Journal (www.xaasjournal.com) is an online publication and weekly newsletter dedicated to helping IT solution providers identify and tap into new sources of recurring revenue. The site comprises nearly 50 resource centers, each focused on a particular recurring revenue opportunity. The goal is for you to visit the site and “shop” for new services you can add to your line card and offer your merchants. Within each resource center, we include an overview of the service, vendors you need to know, and many articles written to help jumpstart your efforts.
DevPro Journal (www.devprojournal.com) is an online publication and weekly newsletter for B2B software developers. We don’t get into the nuts and bolts of coding but instead focus on the significant trends that the leaders of these organizations face each day. Additionally, we’ve seen an influx of traditional resellers visiting the site in search of assistance in building their own application or enhancing an application they resell. Thanks to low-code/no-code tools, resellers can jumpstart a software arm of their business with little experience.
While both these publications address issues across various verticals, we wanted to offer something retail-focused for this event. The pandemic has impacted every industry, but the effect on retail, restaurant and payments has been significant. However, with so much disruption comes opportunity! We’ve filled the following pages with what we believe are informative articles and actionable advice you won’t find anywhere else.
Additionally, it’s our hope that these articles might spark some ideas you can pursue while at this show —attend the breakout sessions, speak to exhibitors about their solutions and how they can help you address the trends discussed within these pages.
I’m not sure there’s ever been so much opportunity in the retail industry. Your customers face numerous challenges that can be overcome with technology. It’s up to you to provide that technology.
