D&H Distributing, a major provider of SMB and consumer technologies to the North American high-tech channel, announces it has moved its long-time US headquarters into a new, two-building, 50-acre campus with more than 240,000 square feet of office space, boasting 77% greater capacity compared to its former location.
The new headquarters will allow the distributor to further its emphasis on innovation, work/life balance, outstanding company culture, productivity, and collaboration. These ideals are in keeping with D&H’s standing as an ESOP (employee-owned) company, wherein team members are vested in company outcomes and are motivated to do their best work. The new space will allow D&H’s team to elevate the level of enablement and partner engagement it delivers to its community of resellers, dealers, and manufacturers, creating superior partner experiences.
D&H will hold two events on October 16 to commemorate the move and educate its manufacturer partners on its improved capabilities. Both events will include official welcome presentations from D&H Co-presidents Michael Schwab and Dan Schwab. The company will host a special unveiling and dedication ceremony in the morning to be attended by local public officials and press. That same afternoon, D&H will introduce its manufacturer partners to the new campus at its “D&H Fest” event, where up to 350 manufacturer representatives will attend an evening of presentations, interactive tours, and celebration activities. Attending manufacturers include Cisco, Dell, HP, Intel, Lenovo, Logitech, Microsoft, Samsung, and others.
Both events will feature a motivational presentation from 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup champions Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger of the United States Women’s National Soccer Team. Krieger and Harris, who are also teammates on the National Women’s Soccer League’s “Orlando Pride” team, will discuss how they overcame adversity to achieve major milestones in their careers and lives, and how that relates to D&H’s longevity in the marketplace. D&H will conduct employee co-owner sessions with Harris and Krieger as well.
New Spaces, Increased Partner Enablement
In addition to future-proofing D&H’s physical office space, the new headquarters features exciting enhancements. These include a modern, amphitheater-style lobby where D&H employee co-owners can convene and network in a unique and engaging space. An Advanced Innovation Center hub will be located in D&H’s main sales area for solution, product, and program trainings. This is in addition to conveniently accessible Manufacturer Offices; plus a full Multimedia Studio that will produce live streaming sessions, webcasts, and additional educational content. Multiple collaborative and “huddle” spaces will be available for improved workflows. Technology showcases will be exhibited on both the SMB and Consumer Technology sales floors, and a state-of-the-art Solutions Architects’ Lab will provide hands-on and virtual learning engagements.
The campus’ open-floorplan “Main Street” lobby is a focal point of the new space, including stadium-style seating to promote collaborative networking, plus a large-scale video wall and multiple huddle areas. It will serve as a welcoming yet productive reception center as visitors transition to various other areas. In addition, the campus’ sprawling, multi-acre grounds feature walking tracks, outdoor WiFi, abundant naturalistic seating areas, and other benefits that will contribute to an extraordinary workplace atmosphere for the D&H staff. “We’re thrilled to celebrate a new era of growth, prosperity, and service marked by this move, introducing our partners to the new offices through the D&H Fest event, so they can be more aware of our expanding ability to enhance their experiences,” said Dan Schwab, co-president at D&H. “The new campus satisfies D&H’s long-term plan to serve the channel as a flourishing, evolving technology company. We’re an organization that has effectively adapted to market changes for over 100 years, and we’ve learned to look ahead and invest in our future, as well as in enabling our partners.”
“D&H’s focus has always been on relationships — with customers, manufacturers, and co-owners,” said Michael Schwab, co-president at D&H Distributing. “We’ve been fortunate to achieve a certain level of success for ourselves and our partners. We’ve therefore carefully considered how to optimize our new environment for the team, for those partners, and for our business model. People are the cornerstone of our success. The new headquarters will enhance the daily experiences of doing business with us, augmenting the team’s ability to deliver extraordinary engagement.”
