D&H Distributing, the major provider of SMB and consumer technologies to the North American high-tech channel, announces it has added sought-after cloud solutions from industry pioneer Cisco to the distributor’s Cloud Marketplace. The offering will allow partners to bundle Cisco’s managed services solutions with hardware, software, and services; plus features a tiered pricing structure. These elements make it simple for partners to create comprehensive, secure, and customized packages for a range of SMB end-customers in different verticals.
The agreement with Cisco includes this manufacturer’s flagship Webex Collaboration platform, its Umbrella layered security solutions, and its Stealthwatch cloud-based network visibility and threat detection solutions. The D&H Cloud Marketplace is a comprehensive digital commerce platform that allows partners to purchase, provision, and invoice an extensive selection of cloud-based services through a single, intuitive interface.
The Cisco solutions can be procured through the D&H portal, including a collaborative bundle, a remote worker bundle, and security-based packages for markets such as K-12. D&H partners can find more information at www.dandh.com/cloudsolutions or www.dandh.com/cisco.
For example, D&H will offer a Cisco-based collaborative “Meeting, Teams, and Calling” bundle built around their Webex solution, which can include hardware and peripherals such as VoIP phones, branded headsets, and accessories to accommodate an effective, turn-key videoconferencing package. Similarly, partners can assemble a secure “remote worker” package consisting of laptops, an associated Umbrella contract, Webex licensing for Meetings, Calling and Teams, plus add-ons like laptop cases and surge protectors. Bundles can include either Cisco-branded or third party computing hardware, creating tailored packages with a click of a mouse.
The Cloud Marketplace portal accommodates manual quoting, ordering, and automated contract modification, allowing the reseller to choose product combinations and quantities and finalize their orders through a straightforward, self-service process. Partners can accommodate different end-customer budgets through the tiered pricing structure, which they can also easily select right on the Marketplace portal.
“D&H has established an effective go-to-market strategy for partners looking to increase their cloud-based offerings. Cisco’s solutions are a major addition to the robust portfolio we’ve curated,” said Jason Bystrak, vice president of D&H’s Cloud Business Unit. “The D&H Marketplace puts the power of the cloud in the MSP’s hands, allowing them to deliver very tailored, high-value services in a streamlined manner. They can select the quantities and packages, then process the order all in one simple transaction. Our goal is to make it as seamless as possible for partners to become profitable providers of cloud-based services.”
Compelling Cisco Solutions via D&H’s Consolidated Portal
Cisco’s WebEx service has emerged as a main platform to accommodate the massive work-from-home mandates of the COVID-19 crisis, facilitating billions of meetings since social distancing was implemented. Cisco is now offering a bundle consisting of the Webex Meetings, Teams, and Calling solutions with a very competitive pricing structure. The solution, called Webex Work, will serve as an anchor for various collaboration bundles, including videoconferencing, distance learning, and telehealth applications.
Cisco’s Umbrella solutions allow partners to deliver layered security services through the Cloud Marketplace platform, including sophisticated device protection. Umbrella makes sure that all web traffic on a designated device passes through Cisco’s powerful DNS servers, where it’s monitored for harmful content as specified by the Umbrella administrator. MSPs can easily accommodate new devices into their end-user agreements, since the D&H portal automatically adjusts associated contracts as devices are added or removed.
The Stealthwatch solution monitors the end-customer’s internal network, leveraging machine learning to detect malicious activity on an infected computer. The solution isolates the affected workstation and shuts it down before it can compromise the rest of the network. Both Stealthwatch and Umbrella utilize Cisco’s Talos database, known as the world’s most expansive repository of threat data and attack indicators.
“This agreement with Cisco is an expansion of a vital partnership between our two companies, one that will continue to build as more of the market embraces the ‘XaaS’ protocol,” said Jay Adkins, director of D&H’s Cisco Business Unit. “More small businesses are adjusting to the use of digital platforms, and they’re looking to the channel to help them complete this transition. D&H and Cisco are here to provide the tools and resources to make sure they thrive.”
To that end, MSPs who purchase Cisco managed services products are eligible to enroll in this manufacturer’s CMSP (Cisco Managed Services Provider) program, where they’ll receive additional discounts, MDF funds, and rebates—all through a trusted distribution partner.
“Cisco places great value on its relationship with D&H as an agile, effective distributor in the SMB space,” said Roy McLean, senior manager, global distribution of Cisco. “We’re proud to extend our SaaS solutions to D&H’s expanding Cloud Marketplace transactional platform, which helps partners quickly ramp-up to the MSP model. Together we’ll bring compelling bundles to these mutual partners, creating secure, powerful, turn-key solutions that address the collaborative needs of the ‘new normal.’”
